Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device to remember information, such as preferences, or to measure site usage or show ads. Similar technologies (such as browser local storage or advertising identifiers) serve comparable purposes.

What DailyNova uses today

As of this policy's date, DailyNova does not set first-party or third-party cookies and does not use local storage to save information about you. We don't use analytics or advertising tools, and we don't embed videos, maps or social media. Cover photos are mostly served from our own server; some are loaded by your browser from Unsplash, with no cookies from us (see the privacy policy).

The site already includes the cookie notice so it is ready when advertising is turned on. While no advertising is active, no optional cookie is set whatever you choose. If you accept or reject, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (key dn_consent, up to 12 months) only so we don't ask you again. The hosting provider's servers may record technical data about visits (see the privacy policy), but that doesn't involve placing cookies on your device.

What would change in the future

If we turn on services that use cookies or similar technologies, such as advertising (for example, Google AdSense) or analytics, we will do the following before activating them:

  1. Update this policy with the details of the cookies (name, purpose, duration and who sets them), taken from the provider's documentation and without inventing anything.
  2. Turn on the consent management system, which is already built into the site. It will show a notice with three equally visible options (Accept all, Reject optional and Manage preferences), will not load advertising or analytics until you accept, and lets you change your mind at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer.
  3. Your choice will be saved in your browser's local storage (key dn_consent, for 12 months at most). It is a technical preference needed to remember your decision. If you reject, no advertising cookies are set.
  4. In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google requires a Google-certified consent platform that follows the IAB Europe TCF standard in order to show personalized ads. So when AdSense is turned on we will use Google's consent message (or a certified provider), and this policy will name that provider.

How to manage cookies in your browser

You can set your browser to block or delete cookies. See your browser's help pages (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge…) for instructions. Blocking essential cookies may affect how some websites work.
